Resting-State fMRI Free Webinar Course – Jan 25th, 2016

Submitted by YAN Chao-Gan on
Dear Colleagues,

We would like to invite you to attend our teaching course devoted to resting-state fMRI (R-fMRI). The focus of the course will be on the principles of R-fMRI and its applications to brain disorders, as well as data analysis with REST plus (Resting-State fMRI Data Analysis Toolkit) and DPARSF (Data Processing Assistant for Resting-State fMRI).

The course is designed for non-Chinese native speakers, in a form of online webinar. It’s free of charge, while restricting to 30 participants.

rs-fMRI Preprocessing

Hi Prof Yan,

I am an undergraduate student in Singapore. I have asked you some questions before and  I would like to express sincere thanks for your helpful replies.

At current stage, I am trying to perform the following data processing on HCP data for functional connectivity analysis. I tried several tools (FreeSurfer, SPM, REST, DAPBI) and did not find an intuitive one. Now I tried RESTplus, which seems to be the latest updated one, and consider it to be suitable for my work.

Problem with conversion of EPI/T1 DICOM to NIFTI

Submitted by David on
Hi,

when I'm trying to convert EPI and T1 DICOMS to nifti, DPABI gets stuck in between. That is, it converts some data but then it just runs and runs without error message but not data is being converted anymore. For example I have raw dcm data from 30 test subjects I want to convert. DPABI starts and converts lets say 27 of the subjects EPI data, but it then goes on and on without converting more data and the T1 data conversion does not even start. I tried it with an older version of DPABI as well as with the latest version (V2.0_151201).

Regress out covariates

Submitted by nabila11 on

Hi experts,

I'm quite new to REST for the  analysis of  my resting state data. I want to do functional connectivity analysis but i have problems when i want to regress out motion parameters and ROI signales from my data.

I don't understand the way to arrange my covariates  (rp files and RoiSignals) in a specific folder ; so i can use them in the Regress Out Covariates step. Can you help me with that please ?

Thank you,

Best regards,

Question about CWAS

Submitted by YukiSakai on

Dear DPARSF experts,

Thank you for developping this useful tool!

 I have question about CWAS.

Although it woks very well in most cases, I got strange results sometimes. I attached the example of F_1_CWAS.nii (example.png). Like this, in some cases, I got nothing. I checked the all preprocessing steps, but there were notihg wrong. Of course, there were no apparent erros in all steps. Why did it happen?

 Best,

 Yuki

What are those predefined spheres?

Submitted by phil1022 on

Dear Chao-Gan,

In your most recent version of DPARSFA, you added a new version of templete. In this new templete, once clicked in the Define ROI interface, there are a lot of predefined 5 mm sphere ROIs along with AAL and other ROIs.

I did not pay attention to them at begining which turned out to be over 70 G of masks when I selected "wrap back to native space".

好!

读完文章A comprehensive assessment of regional variation in the impact of head micromovements on functional connectomics,受益匪浅。

对于文章中的建议,不太理解。还想进一步请教下。

建议1:• Individual-level correction with the Friston-24 model is recommended. 即:在个体水平建议使用Friston-24 model进行头动参数回归。
