AlphaSim problem - critical bug?

Dear Chao-Gan,

I use AlphaSim in my VBM workflow to take multiple testing into account when I analyze clusters within ROIs.

Everything seemed to work just fine but for the small structure of the amygdala (bilateral only 1109 voxels, voxel size 1.5 mm) the program stopped with an error message indicating that an index was out of bound:

[Save Tracy!] A sad story @ Cambridge, Boston, MA, USA

I had a nice trip to Boston for a Brain research conference. However, I feel sad on the bus back to New York, even got my eyes wet – because of the sad story of Ms. Tracy Roberts (Tracy authorized me to release her personal information to public for possible help), a poor, homeless, low SES lady who suffered from severe depression and had 5 suicide attempts.

Individual difference study AND GRF-correction

Submitted by l5583325 on

Hi, everyone!

I am doing a whole-brain seed-based functional connectivity analysis using pre-defined ROI. My aim is to find connectivity which is correlated with a individual difference data.

All of the proprocess and statistic steps were performd by Dpabi.

My results can survivive in GRF-correction (voxel p<0.025, cluster p<0.1, two-tailed, I got this from video course). However, previous papers usually use this method for group difference dectection (Z>2.3, cluster p<0.05).

Therefore, I have two questions here:

Problem with using DPARSF A

Submitted by jnomi on

Dear Experts,

I am trying to use the DPARSF toolbox to do nuisance regression (WM, CSF, rigid-body 6) and filtering (bandpass .01 - .08) and cannot get the program to work.  I have added subfolders for SPM8 and dpabi V1.1/DPARSF V3.0 in MATLAB 2014a.  When I try to use the "blank template" for these two functions, I get the error:

您好!我用DPARSF3.0做regressing out cvariates时出现很多警告:

警告: 矩阵接近奇异值,或者缩放错误。结果可能不准确。RCOND =  5.595369e-10。

请问这是什么意思?对结果有影响吗?

谢谢!

TR in rest state fMRI

Submitted by abujamea on

Dear colleagues I am beginner in rest state fMRI experiments, my question might look silly for you, I saw many rest fMRI protocols they mentioned that TR should not exceed 3000ms, is it technical issue or it has some relation to mechanism of the brain networking and MR signal, and what they mean by Default mode network shows up in resting fMRI as areas with temporally correlated baseline activity, 0.01 Hz < frequency < 0.08 Hz. thank you for your contribution.
