Dear Chao-Gan,
The PCC is supposed as a critical region in the DMN, and anticorrelation between components of the DMN and the ECN has been reported previously (e.g., Fox et al., 2005). In my recent experiment, I selected the PCC as a seed to compare its related network between patients and healthy controls. However, I failed to identified any negtive associations. What is more surprizing is that the PCC is possitively associated with part of the DLPFC, which is supposed as component in the ECN (please see following figure for details). How to interpret this result? Is it due to that I did not include global signals as a regressor?
