Question about the volume and mean thickness of grey matter(cortex)

Submitted by 3MCIpawns on

Hello everyone.

I'm doing some research about the functional network and structual network, and for now, I want to extract the mean cortex thickness of each ROI through AAL tamplate.  After I had finished the pre-process of a patient(including both T1 imges and fMRI imges), I noticed that there are files about the cortex volume(it's named "mwc1Sub_001.nii") in the fold of "T1ImgNewSegment". I put this file into VBM, and I only chose the "Extract ROI time courses" option with AAL template. Then I checked the "Results" fold, I open the "ROI Signals" matrix in it, which is a matrix with dimension of 1×116(see the picture I have pasted).

I wonder what this matrix indicated? Is the total cortex volume of each ROIs? Or is the mean cortex thickness of each ROIs?

If it is total volume of each ROIs, then what is the unit of those numbers in the matrix and how can I obtain the mean cortex by using this matrix?

If it is mean cortex thickness of each ROIs, then what is the unit of those numbers in the matrix?

I'd appreciate it  if you can reply me and help me!
