Extract time courses of ROIs with suffix '.mat' for further analysis

Submitted by Feng on
My name is Feng and I am a freshman with the toolbox DPARSF. I am trying to get the time course of each ROI and with the output suffix '.mat' for later processing. So my questions are:

1. If I want to use some external ROI atlas template such as the AAL, FreesurferDKT, or Brainnectome atlas, what format of files should I add to the DPARSF? And where should I add them?
2. Can I get the 'ROI_timecourse.mat' for each ROIs after the preprocessing? Where should I find them?

Very appreciated if you could give any indications! Thanks!

1. the .nii file will do. There is a "Define ROI" button on the panel of DPARSFA.

2. Yes you can. Results will be outputed to <working directory>/Results/ROIsignals_xxxx/ROIsignals_Subxx.mat

Hi, thank you so much for the response! I have a few more questions.

1. So when I click the 'Define ROI' -- 'Define Other ROIs', should I further load the 'Load ROIs' button or the button '+Sphere', '+Mask', or '+Seed Series'?  Why it asks me to load a '.mat' file after I click 'Load ROIs'? What kind of '.mat' files should I load?

2. I extracted the time course of ROIs by setting the Template Parameters, and I can find the results in the root <working directory>/Results/ROIsignals_xxxx/ROIsignals_Subxx.mat. But is there any way we can find the labels of the regions?

Very appreciated if you could give any indications!
