Call for DPABI Programmers

Submitted by YAN Chao-Gan on

Dear all,

We would like to invite 1~2 DPABI programmers to help developing DPABI V1.3 (http://dpabi.org) and DPARSF V3.2 (http://dparsf.org) as well as future versions.

The road map for DPABI V1.3:

1. SPM12 compatible. I will in charge of this part by myself.
2. DPABI Electrode. I have written a program to simulate intracranial electrodes, as well as calculating the implanting coordinates and angle. The new programmers will be in charge to make a GUI. Difficulty: 1
3. DPABI Viewer. Add the reorienting function (which is available in spm_image) into DPABI Viewer. The new programmers will be in charge of this task. Difficulty: 3
4. Make DARTEL Create Template being parallel computing. This is the only step which is not parallel computing under the DPARSF framework. The new programmers will be in charge of this task. Difficulty: 4 (not necessary to be available in DPARSF V3.2)

As all the other non-paid programmers of DPABI and DPARSF, we can not promise any payment for the new programmers (both DPABI and DPARSF comply to GNU GPL). However, we are still writing the paper of DPABI, thus, the new programmers may get authorship for the DPABI paper depends on the contribution. (Just wanted to mention, DPARSF Paper got 319 citations since 2010, and we expect that DPABI Paper must get higher).

The basic requirement of new programmers:
1. MATLAB expert.
2. SPM expert.
3. Good at communication.
4. Conscientious.
5. Love open source.
6. It's a plus if have some experiences with DPABI and DPARSF.

If you are interested in, please email your CV to Chao-Gan Yan, Ph.D. (DPABI Initiator) at ycg.yan#gmail.com.

Thanks,

Chao-Gan
