band pass for fALFF?

Hi, I recently download the REST toolbox. I wonder why the ideal Band Pass option is disabled in fALFF gui? I would think one'd want to band pass for this analysis, like in ALFF analysis? Also, just want to check. For input files entered in ALFF, fALFF, and RoHe gui, I should use preprocessed data (after realign, slice timing, normalize and smooth?) Thanks very much.

Hi! The data should not to be filtered before calculating fALFF, because fALFF is a ratio of low frequency amplitude to full band amplitude. You need to input preprocessed data into REST. Or you can use DPARSF, it will preprocess the data and calculate the measures for you automatically. Best wishes!
