Dear DPABI community,
I have some questions regarding temporal dynamic analysis. I have two groups of subjects, AD patients and healthy controls. I want to compare the patterns of dynamic r-fMRI indices and and their concordance.
- For group analysis of dynamic r-fMRI indices, do I use the CV maps? Do they have to be z-scored and smoothed?
- Do I have to z-score the concordance maps for group analysis?
- Is it possible to calculate the static concordance across subjects as describend in Yan et. al 2017? As I understand so far, DPABI outputs the temporal functional concordance within subjects.
Thank you and best wishes!

Hi Julian,
Hi Julian,
1. Some people use CV maps, but some others use STD maps. Usually they should be z-scored and smoothed.
2. Yes.
3. Yes, you can. However, you need to call the script y_KendallW_Image.m (for voxel-wise) or y_KendallW_AcrossImages.m (for volume-wise).

Dear Prof. Yan,
Dear Prof. Yan,
I have scanned TDA related questions posted in the forum and I'd like to add a question following your reply 1.
You answered here with "Usually they should be z-scored and smoothed."
But in the temporaldynamicsmetrics directory, there are only CV maps, Mean maps and Std maps (not z-scored and smoothed). Do you mean that the results should be post-processed with z-score and smooth before group analysis? And how I can do this?
Many thanks!
