Open Assistant Investigator/Postdoc Fellow positions in the Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences

The Laboratory of Functional Brain Imaging (LFBI), Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences is warmly inviting applications for an assistant investigator position and a postdoc position. Our lab primarily focuses on the computational methods of resting-state fMRI, brain imaging data analysis and sharing platform, spontaneous brain activity modulation via brain stimulation technique, and their clinical applications in brain disorders (particularly for depression and bipolar disorders). The open positions will be focusing on: 1) optimizing computational methods to more reliably and accurately mapping spontaneous brain activity; 2) establishing a computational framework of functional brain imaging for mental disorder diagnosis, early detection, progress prediction and therapeutic evaluation.

Our brain imaging center has state of the art 3T GE 750 MRI and brain stimulation equipment. Our research group has particular strength in resting-state fMRI methodology as well as abundant collaborative resources with psychiatrists (including Institute of Mental Health, Peking University). We also have a wonderful interdisciplinary work environment which greatly encourages collaborations among experts in psychology, neuroscience, computer science, neuroimaging, psychiatry, etc. we are located in a nice area which next to the Olympic Park in Beijing.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in cognitive neuroscience, computational neuroscience, neuroimaging, machine learning, neuropsychiatric disorders, psychology or related fields. He/she should be highly motivated, have good communication skills and independent capacities to conduct interdisciplinary research in creative ways.

Applicants should send a cover letter, CV as well as the names and emails of two references to Dr. Chao-Gan Yan (yancg#psych.ac.cn).
