Start DPARSFA from NIFTI images

To whom it may concern,

I would like to start preprocessing in DPARSFA from Nifti images so I placed the images under the FunImg folder (which contains a folder for each subject). However, when I change the 'Starting Directory Name' to FunImg. I get the following warning: 'Please arrange each subject's DICOM images in one directory and then put them in FunRaw directory under the working directory' and the gui automatically revert to FunRaw (which I do not have as I want to start from nifti images).

Could you please advise how to solve this problem?

Thank you,

Values of sm* ReOh maps

Dear experts,

I computed ReOh maps for some patients and controls in DPARSFA (running the participants all together, hence with the same processing settings) and got maps where the values are not between [0 1], is this correct? I expect having values between 0 and 1 due to the computation of KCC. I obtain values between 0 and 1.6/1.8.

Please advice if correct,

Thank you,

Kind regards,

Bianca De Blasi

ReOH and ALFF maps

Dear experts,

I am wondering whether you can give me more information about ReOh and ALFF maps or suggest some references where I can get the following information:

1) What are the typical ranges and inter subject variability of ALFF and ReOH maps?

2) Do I need to intensity normalise the maps output from DPARSFA for the ALFF and ReOh or can I use the m* output directly in the statistical analysis? If intensity normalisation is needed, could you suggest by what intensity value (whole brain, gm value)?

Strange effect on ReOh and ALFF maps

Dear experts,

I am trying to compute ALFF and ReOH maps with DPARSFA (for parameters of ReOh calculation, see attached document. In case of ALFF I have only smoothed before and leave all the rest the same). The pipeline runs smoothly but I got a strange effect on the resulting maps (see attached figure).

Could you please advice on what to do?

Thank you very much in advance,

Kind regards,

Interactive realignment and meanning of QC score

Dear experts,

I am writing to double check that during the step of realignment I need to move the crosslink on the AC of the structural and functional images and press 'Reorient button'.

Could you please also explain me the meaning of the QC score which is set during realignment in DPARSF? Which value shall I assign to it?

Thank you,

Kind regards,

REST software _ Beginner User

Dear all,

I have downloaded the RESTplus toolbox from http://restfmri.net/forum/index.php?q=rest

However, I have some problems in running it. When I press the smoothing command I get the following error:

Undefined operator '-' for input arguments of type 'matlab.ui.control.UIControl'.

Error in restgui_misc>check_if_smooth_after (line 124)

DPARSF not running

Dear all,

I am a new DPARSF user and I am very interested in using this software for the computation of quantities, such as ALFF and ReOH. I have loaded the data as required and input the parameters, but I get the following error (after the conversion to .nii):

Error using DPARSFA_run (line 599)
Using exist to check for a variable in the transparent workspace is not supported. To check for a
function, folder, file, or class, specify the appropriate second input argument to exist: 'builtin',
'class', 'dir' or 'file'.
